As reported by TimesofIndia.com, he is training at both the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) facilities and Reliance Corporate Park (RCP), with a clear focus on honing his skills and conditioning for the upcoming challenge against Australia.
A source close to the situation has indicated that Rohit will make a decision about his travel plans only after attending to family reasons.
India’s team members have already reached Perth, with players such as Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Mohammed Siraj travelling in two batches.
Former captain Virat Kohli was the first to arrive in Perth, along with his family, while Jasprit Bumrah made his journey later on Monday.
As captain, Rohit will face added pressure following India’s recent struggles in Test matches, particularly with his own form being under scrutiny.
The highly-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy kicks off on November 22 in Perth, with the series featuring a day-night Test in Adelaide and concluding in Sydney in early January.
