NEW DELHI: India pacer Arundhati Reddy delivered an outstanding performance in the Women’s T20 World Cup match against Pakistan, claiming impressive figures of 3/19 to limit Pakistan to a modest total of 105/8.
Reddy made crucial contributions by dismissing Omaima Sohail (3) and Aliya Riaz (4) before clean bowling Nida Dar in the final over. She showcased her aggressive side when she rattled Dar’s stumps with a perfect length delivery.

She sent Dar off with an aggressive gesture.A fullish delivery that curved back into off stump, Dar attempted a heave but missed, and the off-stump was knocked back.
Talking about the match, the Indian bowlers adapted well to the pitch after conceding 160 runs against New Zealand on a slow, under-light track in their opener. Crucially, they took pace off their deliveries, making stroke-making significantly harder for the opposition.

Their control was so effective that the Indian bowlers managed to deliver 58 dot balls.
Pakistan managed only 29 for 2 in the powerplay and the Indian bowlers increased their stranglehold on the opposition batters.

Tottering at 41 for 4 at the halfway stage, Pakistan batters were unable to even push the ball in the gaps, and it was veteran Nida Dar’s 28 off 34 balls that took them past the 100-run mark.
