New KKR mentor Dwayne Bravo recalls Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘enjoy, party and win’ message. Watch | Cricket News
NEW DELHI: West Indies’ World Cup-winning all-rounder Dwayne Bravo on Friday announced his retirement from all forms of cricket and also joined Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders as mentor.
Bravo, who had a long-standing association with Chennai Super Kings, left the franchise to replace Gautam Gambhir at KKR, who left the franchise following his appointment as Team India head coach.
As KKR shared the news of Bravo joining the franchise, the 40-year-old thanked everyone and recalled Bollywood superstar and KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan’s message.
“To our boss SRK (Shah Rukh Khan), as he always says, we are going to enjoy, we are going to have fun. We are going to party and we are going to win. From the Champion, thank you very much. Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo, Amir KKR,” Bravo said.
In IPL, Bravo won three titles as a CSK player after joining the franchise in 2011.
In 2023, Bravo became CSK’s bowling coach and also worked as a consultant with the Afghanistan men’s cricket team.
Along with KKR, Bravo will also be in charge of the other franchises under the Knight Riders label in T20 leagues.
