Erotic Trade Only is entering a new era with the appointment of Imogen Lees as its new editor. A seasoned writer, editor, and journalist, Imogen brings a wealth of experience across business and consumer magazines, newspapers, and books. She has officially took over the role on 3 March 2025, succeeding Dale Bradford. Imogen, who most recently edited parkrun magazine and co-edited indie running publication Like the Wind for a decade, expressed her enthusiasm for the new role: “I’m thrilled to be joining the ETO team at such an exciting time for both the magazine and the industry. ETO has long been an essential resource for retailers, manufacturers, and distributors, and I look forward to building on its strong foundation while bringing a fresh perspective to its pages.”
Dale Bradford, the founding editor of ETO, is stepping down after an incredible 22 years at the helm to focus on his literary career. Reflecting on his time with the magazine, he said: “This industry has been good to me over the last 22 years, and I know I’m going to miss it. It has introduced me to some wonderful people and taken me to some fabulous places, so I’ve a lot to be thankful for – not least the fact that social media didn’t exist in the early noughties, when industry get-togethers could get quite exuberant! I wish the ETO team every success for the future, and I’m already feeling slightly envious of my successor, who I’m sure will be as warmly welcomed by the industry as I was.”
Jason Dante, Managing Director of ETO, added: “After more than two decades, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Dale Bradford for his dedication, insight, and the incredible legacy he leaves at ETO. His impact on the magazine and the industry as a whole has been immeasurable, and we wish him every success in his literary career. At the same time, we’re delighted to welcome Imogen Lees as our new editor. With a fresh voice and new ideas, Imogen is perfectly positioned to guide ETO into its next chapter. Her expertise and passion for storytelling will ensure that the magazine continues to evolve, remaining a vital and engaging resource for the industry. We’re excited for the future!”
